Hello bloggers! This week I’m going to share how to add a signature to your blog posts in Blogger. There is more than one way to do this, but this is the way I’ve found to be most reliable.
Firstly, you will need to have a graphic ready to use for your signature. For this tutorial, I’m going to demonstrate with the blog of one of my awesome Blogger clients, Suzy of StudentSavvy. Here is her signature graphic:
Upload the graphic to your image uploading website of choice. My preference is Photobucket. After the image is uploaded, take note of the image url (an image url will end in an image file format such as .jpg, .png, .bmp, or .gif).
In your Blogger account, head over to the “Template” section and click “Edit HTML”. Click your mouse anywhere inside the coding box and hit Ctrl+F to bring up the search tool. Search for the following line:
Now, your blog template will probably have this line listed twice in your theme. What you’re looking for is the second of the 2. So when searching, hit the Enter key twice to take you to the second result. Directly under that line is where you will paste in the following code:
Be sure to include the image url for your signature that you took note of earlier in the place I have marked. Where you place the code should look like the following:
Preview your template before saving!!
You signature should now display under each blog post, as show below:
